PLANKTON*NET - a global plankton resource
Our goal is to create of a low barrier framework for publishing quality-controlled information on the taxonomy and ecology of plankton
The PLANKTON*NET projects started as a collaboration with the MBL Woods Hole in 2004. The focus was then broadened through funding under the Sixth EU Framework Programme. PLANKTON*NET contains records of thousands of species of phyto- and zooplankton. In addition, PLANKTON*NET records are cross-referenced with environmental data archived in WDC-MARE/PANGAEA and various publication repositories. Read more
